UNDERGRADUATE EDUCATION (Psychiatry training during medical school):

At the undergraduate medical student level, we offer core 3rd year clerkship Psychiatry rotations at our two Regional Teaching Hospitals (Royal Columbian and Surrey Memorial Hospitals) and 4th year elective rotations at the Royal Columbian Hospital. Both of these sites offer highly rated clinical psychiatry rotations with a rich variety of clinical experiences and formal teaching which will provide a solid foundation of core psychiatry training. For those interested in a career in Psychiatry, a Psychiatry rotation in Fraser Health allows medical students to spend time in our two main teaching hospitals, meet our psychiatrists and residents, and find out more about our residency program.
